The outside of hair is called cuticle it retains the moisture of the hair and get damaged from harsh brushing and chemical processing. So you should take care to smooth the cuticle and strengthen the shaft. Colour and styling can enhance your look but colour must be of good quality.

Curly Hair

Curly hair is nearly always dry and have a tendency to tangle and lack shine because light reflect better from straight hair. Curly hairs need moisturizer.

Tips for curly hair.

Don’t wash it every day. It will dehydrate it and make it more unmanageable.
Comb through wide-toothed comb even use your fingers
Twice a month use an intensive conditioner or hot oil treatment.
Stop blow drying because it will lead to dehydration.

Wavy Hair
It’s often thick and coarse and suits both long and short style easily. The problem with wavy hair is lack of volume which can cause flattening at the roots.

Tips for wavy hair

Thick, coarse hair can handle frequent washing but respond best to being left for two to three days between shampoos.
After washing your hair apply light leave-in conditioner, which will provide a protective layer between the hair cuticles.
Before brushing spray your brush with hairspray to prevent static.
Go for regular trims, even if you have long hair. Split ends will create a fuzzball at the end of the hair which destroy ther look.
Moisturize your hair.

Straight Hair

Straight hair is normally fine and thin. Straight hair sits close to the head it often becomes greasy quickly at the roots and fine strands absorb this rapidly, meaning you may wash your hair everyday.

Tips for straight hair

Thickening shampoos are your best friends because they normally include an ingredient called panthenol which penetrate the hair cuticle and thicken each strand of hair.

Processed Hair

If your hairs are bleached or permed in near past you belongs to this category. Chemicals used in the processing affects the hair shaft and weaken the hair and cause splitting of hairs from the end. Processed hair is often combination hair with oily roots but dry shafts and ends so need extra care.

Tips for processed hair
If your hair is coloured choose shampoo that is specifically designed for coloured hair.
In between use dry shampoo on the roots to absorb oil and grease.
Use rich conditioners especially at the ends of the hair
Dry your hair naturally as heat can dehydrate them further.
Truly damaged hair cannot be repaired and needs to be trimmed before splits travel up the hair shaft.
Once in a week use hot oil.
